Foedophobia (from Latin foedus, "disgust") is the fear of disgust. The fear is developed due to traumatic experiences with disgust in the past. Since disgust is an unpleasant moment or experience, fear of disgust is more easily developed than many other fears. Sufferers getting disgusted by it would often result in anxiety attacks or panic with symptoms ranging from nausea and trembling through rapid breathing and heartbeat to loss of control and excessive thoughts. Foedophobes would avoid encountering things or going to places where there could potentially be disgusting.
