Cideophobia is the fear of committing violence or murder. Cideophobia decends from the Greek word "cide" or to kill, and "phobia" which means fear of. People with Cideophobia commonly and regularly have thoughts of committing murders, killing people or committing extreme acts of violence. People with this fear usually fear thinking about or causing violence, and as a result are very shy, anxious and nervous in confrontational situations. People with Cideophobia do not fear being hurt or killed themselves, they simply fear causing death or violence to those around them, justified or not. As a result, they tend to have extreme self-worth issues and are afraid of becoming violent people, something that could be caused if they are pushed to commit violence.
