Brephophobia (from Greek brephos), also known as Infantophobia is the fear of infants. It is more commonly suffered by adults, especially fertilizable women. The fear is commonly triggered due to miscarriage, and pressures on caring for a baby. Women sufferers would even have a baby but would leave her baby while having her husband or her parents take care of them. Sufferers would even avoid having photos of their baby. Sufferers who hear babies screaming may irritate them. Symptoms of brephophobia include shaking, crying, screaming, trembling, confusion, feeling like out of control, feeling in the negative mood, anger, and panic attack.
