Atelophobia

Atelophobia (from Greek atelès, "imperfect" or "incomplete") is the fear of not good enough or imperfection. Atelophobics would often feel that everything they do is wrong. As a result, they would never do anything while not interacting with anyone, let alone not playing games nor doing work. There are many mental, emotional and physiological symptoms of atelophobia.

Mental
  • Difficulty thinking about anything other than the fear
  • Feelings of unreality or of being detached from oneself
  • Fear of failing
  • Pessimistic view on the outcome of situations before it happens
  • Low self-esteem
  • Extreme disappointment if one fails at something
  • Responding unrealistically to a situation
Emotional
  • Constant worrying about upcoming activities
  • An overbearing amount of fear
  • Unhealthy emotions, such as anger, sadness, jealousy and hurt
  • The desire to abruptly leave the situation
